"Few brands have a better recent record than Asus: the EeePC was the laptop that popularised the 'netbook' trend in laptops, and now for the new generation of Intel chips its Zenbook vies only with the new Samsung Series 9 to be the best of the new, ultra-light, beautifully designed ultrabooks.
When it comes to tablets, too, Asus's original Transformer was the first to bridge the gap between laptop and iPad-imitator. Running Android (of course) the Transformer also featured an extra keyboard dock that meant typing longer documents was substantially easier than on the tablet screen and massively boosted the battery.
The problem, of course, was really that the easily portable, slimline tablet was compromised by the addition of a bulky keyboard. Although it added great functionality, it made the unit cumbersome.
With the new Transformer, dubbed the Prime, Asus has done a lot to address those issues. The brushed steel tablet itself features a very slim profile, a quad-core Nvidia Tegra processor and the latest version of Google's Android operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich."
I am being told how neat this device is and how it kicks the iPad. The seperate but attachable keyboard eliminating soft keys is the GO for me.
